WORKPLACE HUMAN RIGHTS IVL strongly respects all human rights as embodied in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and its two companion covenants, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights. We avoid any human rights violations and follow the legislation of the countries where we operate. We have a zero-tolerance policy for human rights breaches and encourage all of our workers and stakeholders to report any violations through the appropriate channels. Any employee who violates this policy, including but not limited to, illegal child labour, slave labour, acts of prejudice, discrimination, bullying, or harassment, faces internal disciplinary action in accordance with local laws and regulations. In 2021, IVL introduced a Declaration on Human Rights to be signed by all Business Heads and Site Heads. These are the individuals who are key in implementing systems and processes that prevent and address any violation (or potential violation) of theHumanRights Policy. They are also key in the continuous improvement of its implementation. The declaration provides evidence of the level of compliance at all of IVL’s operations and highlights areas where improvement is needed. If a non-compliance issue is brought to light at the site or business, the Business Heads and Site Heads must disclose specific details of the issue and the actions taken for its resolution. The Internal Audit Department will examine the human rights practices based on the information provided in this yearly declaration. The results of this audit are then reported to the NCCG Committee and the Board. The Company will then take all necessary and reasonable remediation steps to assist an employee if their human rights are violated by a third-party or an outsider. We are signatories to the UNGlobal Compact and ourWorkplace Human Rights Assessment (WHRA) system is closely aligned with its standards and principles. This tool was introduced in 2016 to recognize, assess, communicate, and mitigate potential human rights-related issues. It encompasses vulnerable groups such as senior citizens, people with HIV, the LGBT community, disabled persons, and national minorities. With four levels, the WHRA addresses the following stakeholders in our operations, including joint ventures: 1. Employees 2. Children 3. Indigenous people 4. Migrant labour 5. Third-party contracted labour 6. Local communities IVL’S WHRA STRUCTURE 1. Corporate Level The corporate level identifies emerging trends in human rights and initiates risk mitigating actions. 3.
